About

Last updated October 21, 2026

Wenlo is a stock and options research site with a private trading journal, built for every investor.

What we do

Fast ticker pages, a stock screener, a portfolio view, plain-English guides, and a journal that turns your broker’s CSV into a clear picture of your real results.

How we write our guides

Our Learn guides are written and reviewed by the Wenlo editorial team, in plain language and without assuming you already trade options.

  • Sources. We work from primary sources: company filings with the SEC (through SEC EDGAR), market data from licensed market data providers, including Twelve Data, and standard references such as the OCC’s “Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options”. Worked examples use hypothetical numbers unless they say otherwise.
  • Fact-checking. Before a guide is published, its figures, formulas and examples are checked against those sources. We review guides when the facts behind them change, and each guide shows the date it was last updated.
  • Corrections. If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the contact page. We check every report, fix confirmed errors promptly and update the guide’s date.
  • Use of AI. The short summaries of SEC filings on ticker and filing pages are written by AI from the filing itself and are labelled “AI-generated summary”; always check the original filing before acting on one. Our guides are written by people.

Where our data comes from

Market data, including stock quotes and charts, is provided by Twelve Data. SEC filings, and the press releases companies file with them, come from SEC EDGAR. Options data comes from licensed market data providers. Each source is named in the footer of the pages that show its data.

Stock quotes show an “as of” time and may be delayed; prices marked LIVE are real-time trades from select US venues, not the consolidated market price. Data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, so confirm prices with your broker before placing an order.

Who runs Wenlo

Wenlo is built and operated by Aithara LLC, a small independent software company in the United States.

You can reach us any time through the contact page.

How we make money

The site is free and supported by ads. We do not sell your personal data or your journal.

Not investment advice

Wenlo is for information and education. It is not investment, tax or legal advice, and we are not a broker-dealer or registered investment adviser. Nothing on Wenlo is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Options involve risk and are not suitable for all investors. Please read the full disclaimer.
